Description: PENDER CONSTRUCTION Inc is searching for a highly skilled and experienced Lead Carpenter to lead and mentor a team of talented carpenters on diverse construction projects. This position requires an individual with mastery in all facets of carpentry, from rough framing and structural work to intricate finish carpentry, millwork installation, and cabinet fitting. The Lead Carpenter will be responsible for interpreting blueprints and technical drawings, laying out work according to plans, ensuring the quality and precision of all carpentry work performed by the team, managing materials efficiently, and maintaining a safe and productive work environment. They will also play a key role in training and developing less experienced carpenters. Strong leadership qualities, the ability to motivate a team, and a meticulous eye for detail are crucial.
Requirements:
A minimum of 7 years of hands-on carpentry experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory or lead role. Extensive knowledge of carpentry techniques, tools, and building materials. The ability to accurately read and interpret complex blueprints, shop drawings, and specifications. Proven leadership and mentoring abilities. A strong commitment to safety protocols and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
